A standard comprehensive exam takes about 40 minutes. Selecting glasses is in addition to this, generally taking at around 30 minutes.
We offer comprehensive eye exams to evaluate your vision and overall eye health. During the same visit, we can determine whether you need vision correction and provide an updated eyeglass prescription. Patients interested in contact lenses can also receive a contact lens evaluation during their appointment. In addition, we provide medical eye exams to diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions.
Dilation usually only affects near vision unless you have advanced cataracts. If you have advanced cataracts, dilation can affect distance vision and driving is not recommended. In this case, having a driver is recommended.
Optometrists provide routine eye care, vision exams, and prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, while ophthalmologists are medical doctors who perform eye surgery and treat advanced eye diseases. Our office provides comprehensive optometric eye care and can refer patients for specialized treatment when needed.
We accept a wide range of insurance plans. Please see the list below for currently accepted providers. If you don’t see your insurance listed, contact our office and we’ll be happy to verify your coverage.
